I finally ventured out of my Newport Beach bubble and did a mid-week vaca down to SD. I was able to gather a few amigos and stay a night down south in a beautiful spot in Mission Beach. The crew over at Luv Surf San Diego hooked us up with such a fun spot. We got a fun little surf in at Scripps Beach to start the day, then hit up the Suja Juice factory and got the full rundown… See the rest of this entry »
A fun shoot for BabyG-watches in Hollywood, CA. I have lived in Orange County my entire life and I have never done the touristy Hollywood walk-about. Had a blast shooting with my longtime friend Matt Doheny. Check out more of his great pics on his FB Page and Instagram
Oakley hosted a fitness / wine tasting getaway in Napa Valley to preview their new 2013 Active Wear and Sunglasses. These amazing 2 days were actioned packed. We got to do a 5k run through the vineyards, hike through the backcountry, sit in on a health cooking class at the Culinary Institute, and thanks to Trek Bikes we got to do a long bike tour to three beautiful wineries. And to top it all off, I got to meet and bond with over 100 girls from all sorts of fitness and health magazines, websites and blogs. Best Weekend EVER! Check out the fun…
I just did my first photo shoot for Oakley. We went down to Laguna Beach, where I shot with the amazing Russ Hennings. And the next morning we even scored a little surf at 56th street back in Newport. Check out all the behind the scenes action!
I got my white girl corn row look going on for a Bo Derek inspired photo shoot in Santa Monica for Defy Magazine. It was a brutal 4 hours of braiding, not to mention some tedious bead work in the car racing to catch the last light before Sunset, but it was a success. Tommy Garcia took some awesome photos and I couldn’t be more pleased with the spread. Check out the pics below that ran in the Summer 2011 Issue of Defy!
YEW! I got 2nd in the VQS Championship right at my local break at 54th st. in Newport Beach. I sat and waited patiently with my fingers crossed that there would be a no-show and I could snag the alternate wildcard slot. And lucky for me, heat #3 came around and I was in. A special shout out to the Volcom crew for the love and support. They always put on the most fun event all year, and this time is was Glam Rock themed and a blast as usual. I walked away with 2G’s and bucket load of prizes!!! Check out the fun weekend
sooooo the OC Weekly called me up and asked if I wanted to be featured in their ‘sex issue.’ Skeptical at first, they re-assured it was ‘sexiest people’ issue for Orange County. I think I said ‘yes’ in what I thought was a normal volume phone voice (I was told otherwise) haha! Extremely flattered and very excited for the shoot, I hung up and drove to the gym.
2 days before the issue came out they informed me that I was going to be on the COVER! So thank you OC Weekly for all the support and working with the amazing Star Foreman, you are a great photographer. Check out the behind the scenes action with some photos that didn’t get printed.
The US Open has come and gone and it may have been the fastest and most hectic week of my life this year. But I would do it ALL over again because it was oh-so much fun. I wish I could have made this video longer and captured all the madness that went down. But I’m sorry to say that I just didn’t have the energy or more importantly the time. So here’s a tidbit of what I got ~ ENJOY!
I just got back home from my summer vacation with the family in South Lake Tahoe and it was AMAZING!!!
We scored the most beautiful weather, and stayed at the most beautiful house right on the lake. I bronzed, waked boarded and even won a little mullah at the casino. I hope we go back next year!
So this week I got hit up by the crew over at LoCale Magazine. They asked for me to be the “local feature” and wanted to shoot me for the cover along with an 8 page spread for their first issue launching this Summer!!! Of course I said… WHEN, WHERE AND WHAT TIME??
It was such a fun and exciting shoot and so much different than my usual “au-natural beach girl, wavy hair bikini prancing look.” I was definitely out of my element to say the least. But don’t take my word for it, check it out and you tell me!
Casio Shoot Take One took place in Australia in March. Unfortunately the watches never showed up, so doing product shots with no product wasn’t really an option. Now here’s Casio Shoot Take 2: Cali that’s suppose to look like Australia, hopefully I don’t get busted for letting the cat out of the bag. See the rest of this entry »
